ABOUT BIOMASS IN THE WEEK OF SUSTAINABLE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT

City Municipality of Palilula, in cooperation with organizations – media network EKOpolis and AgroVetmanagment project, will mark The week of sustainable energy development in Nis with promotion of results of one years project “Not – Technical Barriers in Using Biomass in Energetic Purposes” it was realized within program SEKTOR 2, implemented by Regional Environment Center (REC), with financial support of Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), City of Nis, Administration of Agriculture and Rural Development, Administration of Communal Services, Energy and Traffic and other interested sides (municipalities, public utility enterprises, NGO, entrepreneurs).

In Service Center of Palilula Municipality, volunteers of EKOpolis to the citizens will distribute leaflets “Biomass new possibility” , “BIOMASS – examples of good praxis” and on the cable network and RTV Banker will premiere broadcast documentary film about biomass, in thematic TV show of EKOpolis.

European week of sustainable energetic development was initiated by European Commission in 2005th and represent the most important event within Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign promoting renewable sources of energy and energetic efficiency. European institutions, which support Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign, as and other important factors in the field of energetics will organize series of events in Brussels during European week of sustainable energetic development. One of them is and three – day conference dedicated to energetic politics, in organization of European Commission, from 12th to the 14th April 2011th. In addition from 11th to 15th April 2011, will organize and hundreds events in all parts of Europe, aimed to present examples from praxis, promote and exchange experiences from area of energetic efficiency and renewable sources of energy.
